BENTON, Ill. — An Illinois federal judge has denied a drug maker’s motion to dismiss a Pradaxa injury suit, ruling that the claims of strict liability, negligence and fraud were adequately pleaded and, at this stage, are not barred by the learned intermediary doctrine or comment k.
Chief Judge David R. Herndon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois further ruled that the plaintiff sufficiently connects her alleged injuries to Pradaxa.
