Judicial Panel Transfers 4 Pinnacle Cases When Plaintiffs Fail to File Oppositions

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has lifted stays and allowed the transfer of four DePuy Pinnacle cases to the federal MDL after plaintiffs failed to file briefs supporting their oppositions to transfer. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., Pinnacle Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2244 (N.D. Texas).

The JPML lifted the stays in the four California cases April 26 and ordered them transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, where the Pinnacle MDL is pending before Judge James E. Kinkeade.
