Plaintiffs Oppose Zimmer's Suggestion of Remand for Some Knee Implant Cases

CHICAGO - Plaintiffs targeted by Zimmer Inc. in a February Motion for Suggestion of Remand argue in an omnibus response, as well as individual briefs, that remand is inappropriate because the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation did not intend to limit the MDL as narrowly as Zimmer contends. In re: Zimmer NexGen Knee Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2172 (N.D. Ill.).
Several opposition briefs were filed this month by plaintiffs in the NexGen Knee Implant MDL pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois before Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer.
