BUFFALO, N.Y. - A New York federal judge has adopted a magistrate's recommendation and awarded summary judgment to Stryker Corp., which argued that the plaintiff could not prove that her Stryker hip implant was defective because it was discarded during revision surgery. Blount v. Stryker Corp., et al., No. 10-cv-00706 (W.D. N.Y.).

U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara issued his summary judgment order March 26, citing the reasoning provided in Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy's March 2 Report and Recommendation on Stryker's motion for summary judgment.
