ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A judge in New Jersey has denied motions for new trial filed in a consolidated Accutane case where jurors returned a verdict for one of three plaintiffs who claimed they developed Inflammatory Bowel Disease after taking the drug. Andrews, et al. v. Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., et al., No. ATL-L-3319-04 (N.J. Super. Ct., Atlantic Cty.).

In a March 14, decision, Judge Carol E. Higbee of the Atlantic County Superior Court affirmed the $2 million verdict and findings of no cause for claims asserted by the other two plaintiffs, commenting that there existed sufficient evidence for the jury …
