DePuy Says Plaintiffs Opposing Transfer Fail to Distinguish Their Claims From Others

ATLANTA - DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. has responded to a Georgia couple's motion to vacate the conditional transfer of their case to the ASR hip implant MDL in Ohio, saying the plaintiffs failed to distinguish their claims against a local hospital from similar claims in other transferred cases. Crane, et ux. v. DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., et al., No. 1:11-cv-04105 (N.D. Ga.).
DePuy filed its response Jan. 19 with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, which is considering the Motion to Vacate filed Dec. 28 by plaintiffs Michael and Cori Crane.
