California Judge Coordinates All State Actos Injury Actions

LOS ANGELES - A state judge has granted a plaintiffs' petition to coordinate and consolidate all California Actos injury cases in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. In re Coordination Proceedings, Actos Product Liability Cases, No. JCCP4696 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).

In a Jan. 4 order, Judge Carl J. West ruled that the 12 pending cases "are complex cases within the meaning of California Rule of Court, Rule 3.400, and that this is an appropriate matter for coordination pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure sections 404 and 404.1 and California Rules of Court 3.501, et seq."
