MDL Judge Signs Order for Common Benefit Fund for ASR Plaintiff Attorneys

CLEVELAND - Plaintiffs' attorneys in the DePuy ASR multidistrict litigation will be able to apply for expenses or fees from a common benefit fund proposed by the Plaintiffs' Executive and Steering Committees and recently approved by the MDL court. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2197 [Case No. 1:10-md-2197] (N.D. Ohio).

Judge David A. Katz signed Amended Case Management Order No. 13 on Dec. 21, after plaintiffs' counsel completed a participation agreement that allows counsel in California, New Jersey and other coordinated ASR proceedings to voluntarily participate in the fund.
