Stryker Denied Summary Judgment in Pain Pump Injury Case

PORTLAND, Ore. - An Oregon federal judge has denied Stryker summary judgment on claims that it marketed its pain pump for intra-articular use despite knowing that it could cause chondrolysis, ruling that issues of fact exist as to whether Stryker had such knowledge at the time of the plaintiff's surgery.
