MINNEAPOLIS - A Minneapolis woman who says she is unable to work and still suffers pain from two hip implant surgeries has sued Zimmer Inc. in federal court, saying its Trilogy Acetabular Shell and Liner hip system was defective. Muetz v. Zimmer Inc., et al., No. 11-cv-03099 (D. Minn.).

Plaintiff Tina Muetz filed the action in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota on Oct. 20, seeking compensatory damages and other remedies from Zimmer Inc., Zimmer Holdings Inc., Zimmer Production Inc., Zimmer US Inc. and Zimmer Surgical Inc.
