ASR MDL Court Schedules Hearing on Request for Common Benefit Fund

CLEVELAND - The judge overseeing the coordinated DePuy ASR Hip Implants litigation has scheduled a Nov. 22 hearing on plaintiffs' counsels' request for a Common Benefit Fund that will necessitate an assessment against plaintiffs' individual settlements or awards. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products, No. 1:10-md-2197 (N.D. Ohio).

Judge David A. Katz ordered that any objections or responses to the motion by the Plaintiffs' Executive and Steering Committees be submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio by Nov. 21.
