Stay Lifted as Louisiana Plaintiffs Withdraw Opposition to Pinnacle MDL Transfer

NEW ORLEANS - The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has lifted its stay on conditional transfer orders for several Louisiana Pinnacle hip implant system cases after plaintiffs notified the panel that they have withdrawn their opposition to transfer to the MDL pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., Pinnacle Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2244 (N.D. Texas).
The panel said in its Oct. 13 order lifting the stay that it affected cases listed in "CTO-28" and "CTO-30" entered on Sept. 20 and Sept. 30, respectively.
