CHICAGO - An Illinois federal judge has allowed the plaintiffs in a Lupron injury case to amend their complaint to add specificity to their allegations that the drug caused them to suffer loss of bone mass. _ Cardenas v. Abbott Laboratories_, No. 11-4860 (N.D. Ill.).
On Oct. 7, Judge Joan B. Gottschall of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois ruled that the plaintiffs failed to specify whether they are women and whether the drug was prescribed for an FDA-approved or off-label use.
