DECATUR, Ga. - A Georgia state jury has awarded $2 million to a man who claims that his ingestion of a liquid vitamin supplement caused him to suffer congenital heart and kidney failure, hair and nail loss, memory problems and other serious side effects. Gurley v. Total Body Essential Nutrition Inc., et al., No. 08A93738-1 (Ga. Super. Ct., DeKalb Cty.).
On Sept. 20, the DeKalb County (Ga.) Superior Court jury found against Total Body Formula and Total Body Mega Formula manufacturers Total Body Essential Nutrition Inc., Wright Enrichment Inc. and Texamerican Food Blending Inc.
