ST. LOUIS — A Missouri federal judge has excluded the testimony of the plaintiff’s three proposed specific causation experts in an Aredia/Zometa injury case, ruling that they failed to rule out other possible causes of the patient’s osteonecrosis of the jaw. Parmentier v. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp., No. 1:12-45 (E.D. Mo.).
On June 19, Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri granted Novartis Pharmaceuticals Inc. summary judgment after ruling that the experts’ testimony is insufficient under Daubert and Federal Rule of Evidence 702.
