Plaintiffs in Bard Pelvic Repair Device Cases Seek Inclusion in Avaulta MDL

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The plaintiffs in 29 pelvic repair device cases pending in three federal courts have asked the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to expand the scope of the Bard Avulta MDL to include their actions. In re Bard Women's Pelvic Repair Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2304 (JPML).
The actions at issue in the Sept. 15 motion involve the C.R. Bard Pelvicol, PelviLace, PelviSovt, Pelvitex, Uretex and/or the Align products, all of which are surgical mesh products used for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence.
