CLEVELAND - An Ohio man has sued the makers of Actos, alleging that his long-term use of the diabetes drug caused him to develop bladder cancer. Scaro v. Takeda Pharmaceuticals America Inc., et al., No. 11-1565 (N.D. Ohio).
The July 29 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio says Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc. and Eli Lilly & Co. failed to adequately inform consumers and doctors of the drug's risks.
