Mirapex Compulsive Gambling Suit Time-Barred, 8th Circuit Affirms

MINNEAPOLIS - A suit claiming that Mirapex caused a man to lose millions of dollars to gambling is time-barred under Texas law because he knew as early as 2005 of a possible link between pathological gambling and the Parkinson's drug, a federal appeals court has affirmed. In re Mirapex Products Liability Litigation, No. 10-3129 (8th Cir.).

On July 28, the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals found that the claimant had access to information that should have put him on notice as to the cause of his increased gambling.
