Federal MDL Judge to Join Calif. Counterpart for Status Conference

CLEVELAND - U.S. District Judge David A. Katz has scheduled the next status conference in the DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant multidistrict litigation for July 26 in San Francisco, with counsel invited to participate by phone. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products, No. 1:10-md-2197 (N.D. Ohio).

Judge Katz filed the status conference order on July 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, where the federal MDL cases are assigned, saying the joint status conference is "[i]n the furtherance of federal-state coordination."
