WASHINGTON, D.C. - A Minnesota plaintiff alleging defects in his Zimmer NexGen High-Flex System knee replacement has filed a brief with the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation supporting the creation of a federal MDL, but asking that it be assigned to Minnesota. In re: Zimmer NexGen Knee Products Liability Litigation, MDL Docket 2272 (JPML).
The Judicial Panel is already considering a motion to coordinate the Zimmer NexGen High-Flex cases in Illinois (See related story on plaintiff Fred Stone's motion in this issue).
