Wis. Counsel Withdraw Motion for ASR Class Action Discovery Subcommittee

TOLEDO, Ohio - Counsel for plaintiffs in a Wisconsin ASR hip replacement class action have withdrawn their ex parte motion for a class action discovery subcommittee in the federal multidistrict litigation. In re: DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products, No. 1:10-MD-2197 (N.D. Ohio).

The notice of withdrawal was filed by counsel on May 20 without elaboration.

Counsel said in the March 24 motion that they represent plaintiffs in the only ASR class action in Wisconsin, and that the state law claims asserted on behalf of Wisconsin residents in that case differ and are "much more limited in scope" than …
