Minn. Plaintiff Alleges Defects in Components of Zimmer 'NexGen Knee'

MINNEAPOLIS - A Minnesota man complains in a recent federal court filing that individual components of his "Zimmer NexGen Knee" replacement system have failed because of defective design and manufacture causing him significant pain and requiring additional surgery or another total knee replacement. Langevin v. Zimmer Inc., et al., No. 11-cv-01123-PJS-AJB (D. Minn.).

David R. Langevin, a Minneapolis attorney, filed his 11-page complaint against Zimmer Inc. and affiliates on April 28 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

The sole count alleges negligence in the design, manufacturer and marketing of the Zimmer NexGen Knee system.
