Sandoz Prevails in Hypertension Drug Injury Action

BOSTON - A Massachusetts federal judge has dismissed a suit against Sandoz Inc. alleging injury caused by its hypertension drug Terazosin HCL, ruling that the plaintiff's sole expert failed to establish general or specific causation. Kerlinsky v. Sandoz Inc., No. 09-30136 (D. Mass.).

On May 9, Judge Michael Ponsor of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts ruled that the expert was unqualified and failed to explain what led her to conclude that the drug caused plaintiff's injuries.
