Drug Makers Seek Consolidation of N.J. State Court Plavix Cases

TRENTON, N.J. - Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Sanofi-Aventis U.S. seek consolidation of all New Jersey state court Plavix injury cases as a mass tort for centralized management in the Bergen County Superior Court. In re Application for Mass Tort Designation of Cases Involving Plavix (N.J. Super. Ct., Bergen Cty.).
The drug makers have been named as defendants in cases filed by more than 40 plaintiffs in state and federal courts around the country, including five recently filed in Atlantic County (N.J.) Superior Court, according to the April 8 application.
