NEW ORLEANS - The heirs of a woman who died from injuries caused by toxic epidermal necrolysis have sued the maker of Uloric, alleging that the gout drug caused the decedent to contract the rare skin disorder. Harvey v. Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc., No. 11-cv-533 (E.D. La.).
Defendant Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America Inc. removed the suit on March 7 to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
