Darvocet Manufacturer Sued in Georgia State Court

DECATUR, Ga. - A Georgia woman has sued the makers of Darvocet and its generic equivalent, alleging that her ingestion of the recalled painkiller caused her to suffer heart arrhythmias. Cross v. Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc., et al., No. 11-003 (Ga. Super. Ct., DeKalb Cty.).

The Jan. 7 complaint, filed in the DeKalb County (Ga.) Superior Court, accuses Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Inc., d/b/a Vintage Pharmaceuticals Inc., of failing "to continually monitor the real world safety" of the drug.
