MUSKOGEE, Okla. -A federal jury inOklahoma has unanimously found that the acne drug Accutane did not cause a woman to suffer from bouts of depression. Gray v. Hoffman-La-Roche, Inc., et al., 01cv493 (E.D. Okla.)
The April 11 verdict, believed to be the first over a case involving the controversial acne treatment, came days before the mother of Charles Bishop, the 15-year old who crashed a Cessna aircraft into a Tampa skyscraper, filed a wrongful death suit against Hoffman-La Roche claiming it caused her son to lose touch with reality and commit suicide.
