DePuy Hip Implant MDL to be Established in Ohio, HarrisMartin Publishing Reports

HarrisMartin Publishing is reporting exclusively in the online version of its Drugs & Medical Devices Litigation Report that the DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation MDL 2197 will be docketed in Ohio.

Sources at the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) today confirmed to HarrisMartin that federal lawsuits alleging injury caused by recalled DePuy hip implant devices will be transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Judge David A. Katz will preside over the coordinated MDL docket. Judge Katz's assignment was documented in a transfer order also entered today by the JPML. …
