Zimmer Seeks Transfer of Knee Replacement Suit to Wisconsin

LOS ANGELES - Zimmer Inc. is urging a California federal judge to transfer a suit involving its knee replacement device to the Eastern District of Wisconsin, asserting that the convenience of the parties and witnesses weighs in favor of transfer. Anderson v. Zimmer Inc., No. 10-6201 (C.D. Calif.).

In a Nov. 29 motion, the manufacturer further contends that the Eastern District of Wisconsin is more familiar with the governing law and the plaintiff has no contacts with California relating to her cause of action.
