CHICAGO — U.S. District Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer heard argument on Zimmer’s motion to dismiss portions of NexGen knee implant plaintiffs’ Master Long Form Complaint June 21, reserving judgment on whether failure-to-warn and other claims in the complaint meet federal pleading requirements. In re: Zimmer NexGen Knee Implant Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2272 [Master Docket No. 1:11-cv-05468] (N.D. Ill.).

Zimmer filed its motion in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in February, objecting to what it said was plaintiffs’ “overreach,” and conclusory allegations regarding product warnings.
