PIERRE, S.D. - A South Dakota couple have sued the makers of Levaquin, accusing them of hiding information from the public regarding the dangers of the drug, including the risk of tendon injury, and of failing to exercise reasonable care in developing and selling the drug. Jelkin, et ux., v. Johnson & Johnson, et al., No. 10-04041 (D. S.D.).
The Oct. 4 complaint was filed by Connie and Duane Jelkin in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota against Johnson & Johnson and Ortho McNeil Pharmaceutical Inc.
