CINCINNATI - Plaintiffs in an OxyContin case have filed a motion seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent Purdue Pharma from utilizing two U.S. attorneys and a law enforcement officer as consultants and from conducting additional hiring of law enforcement officers. Jack Burton, et al. v. Purdue Pharma L.P., et al., No. 01-CV-349 (D. Ohio).

The Feb. 15 motion was filed after former U.S. Attorney for Maine Jay P. McCloskey, former U.S. Attorney for Kentucky Joseph L. Famularo, and former Virginia State Police 1st Sergeant Landon Gibbs were hired by Purdue Pharma as either paid or unpaid consultants.
