TRENTON, N.J. - A suit accusing two baby shampoo manufacturers of including cancer-causing chemicals in their products may proceed under Missouri law, a New Jersey federal judge has ruled. Levinson, et al. v Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies Inc., et al., No. 09-3317 (D. N.J.).

On Feb. 1, Judge Dennis M. Cavanaugh of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled that plaintiffs' breach of implied warranty claims may proceed against Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
