MIAMI - GlaxoSmithKline announced Feb. 18 that it will voluntarily pull its zinc-containing lines of Poligrip denture cream from the market after numerous personal injury lawsuits have been filed in Florida federal court. In re Denture Cream Products Liability Litigation, No. 09-2051 (S.D. Fla.)
In June, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation centralized all federal denture cream lawsuits against the makers of Super Poligrip and Fixodent (manufactured by Procter and Gamble Manufacturing Co.) in a multidistrict litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
