NEW YORK - Eli Lilly & Co. adequately warned doctors of the metabolic risks associated with Zyprexa use, a New York federal judge ruled, granting the drug maker's motion for summary judgment in a negligence lawsuit. Quirarte v. Eli Lilly & Co., No. 07-1161 (E. D. N.Y.).

On Oct. 16, Chief Judge Jack B. Weinstein further ruled that Lilly adequately warned physicians of the risk of neuroleptic malignant syndrome associated with the schizophrenia drug.
