PHILADELPHIA - A Pennsylvania woman who suffered a stroke allegedly caused by her ingestion of two over-the-counter products containing PPA settled her claims against the manufacturers for a confidential amount. Roberta Youngworth, et al., v. Bayer Corp., et al., No. 010401585 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pleas, Phila. Cty.).
The case, which was the first of its kind scheduled for trial in the state, settled after jury selection was completed, a source told HarrisMartin Publishing.
