LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Several vendor defendants named in a West Virginia hormone replacement therapy suit did not have sufficient minimum contact with the state to subject them to jurisdiction there, a judge has ruled. Doerfler v. Wyeth Inc., et al., No. 08-3620 (E.D. Ark.).
In an opinion dismissing the action for lack of personal jurisdiction, U.S. District Court Judge William R. Wilson Jr., who overseas the Prempro MDL in the Eastern District of Arkansas, said that any contact the defendants may have had with West Virginia occurred through the actions of companies that hired them.
