ORLANDO, Fla. - A federal judge has excluded the causation opinions of two plaintiff's experts and, for the second time in a week, awarded summary judgment to AstraZeneca in a Seroquel case that was expected to be one of the first to reach trial. Haller v. AstraZeneca, et al., No. 07-15733 (M.D. Fla.).
Judge Anne C. Conway of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ruled Feb. 6 that without the specific causation testimony of David Haller's experts, no reasonable juror could conclude that Seroquel contributed to the 47-year-old plaintiff's diabetic condition.
