Calif. Jury Says Activist Libeled Toxicologist But Not His Firm




SAN DIEGO - A California Superior Court jury has found for toxicologist Bruce J. Kelman on his claim that California mold activist Sharon Kramer defamed him when she said he "altered his under oath statements" when testifying on his role in authoring versions of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine's 2003 position paper on mold. Kelman v. Kramer, No. GIN044539 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Diego Cty.).

Sources reported that the same jury returned a verdict for Kramer on Aug. 26 on similar claims by Veritox, Kelman's environmental consulting firm based in Redmond, Wash.
