Wis. Supreme Court Finds No Coverage for Remodeling Firm's Clients

MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin's high court has found in a coverage case stemming from a client's action against a remodeling firm that alleged misrepresentations made to the client were not "occurrences" within the meaning of a commercial general liability policy. Stuart, et al. v. Weisflog's Showroom Gallery Inc., No. 2005AP1287 (Wis. Sup. Ct.).

The high court ruled July 10 that damages awarded to Robert Stuart and his wife against Weisflog's Showroom Gallery Inc. are not covered by a policy issued to Weisflog's by American Family Mutual Insurance Co.
