PHOENIX - A federal judge has denied a motion by plaintiffs to increase a $20,000 jury award for breach of contract, saying the jury was free to weigh evidence in the case, including whether plaintiffs were responsible for any of the claimed water and mold damage. Hall v. Manschot, et al., No. CV-06-00205-PHX-FJM (D. Ariz.).
The March 3 order by Judge Frederick J. Martone of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona also denied an alternative motion by Gerald M. and Pamela J. Hall for a new trial on their claims against homeseller Elvira J. Manschot.
