ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Maryland's Court of Special Appeals has rejected challenges to a $382,744 verdict in favor of three tenants at a Baltimore public housing complex who complained that poor maintenance led to mold and health problems. Housing Authority of Baltimore City. v. Mary Roy, et al., No. 2167 Sept. Term 2006 (Md. Ct. Sp. App.).
In an unreported opinion issued on Jan. 23, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals said that plaintiffs adequately established medical causation and the trial judge did not err in denying a post-trial motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict.
