HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A federal judge has granted an insurer's motion for summary judgment on homeowners' demand for additional damages for losses related to Hurricane Katrina, finding no evidence to support breach of contract or bad faith claims. Ingram v. GuideOne Mutual Insurance Co., No. 2:06cv117KS-MTP (S.D. Miss.).
Judge Keith Starrett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi granted GuideOne Mutual Insurance Co.'s motion for summary judgment on Nov. 19 and dismissed with prejudice all claims by Ron and Tammy S. Ingram.
The Ingrams have since moved for reconsideration.
