Ark. Court Rejects Bid to Vacate Verdict for Mobile Home Owners

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - An Arkansas appellate court has affirmed a verdict for a couple who sued their insurer for the value of their mobile home after the carrier refused to cover water and mold damage that occurred after a violent storm in 2004. Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Arkansas v. Jackson, No. CA07-182 (Ark. Ct. App., Div. IV).
The Arkansas Court of Appeals, Division IV, rejected the insurer's contention that the verdict wasn't supported by the evidence, and agreed only to reduce the $55,000 verdict by the $50 already paid by the insurer.
