RIVERHEAD, N.Y. - Homeowners failed to persuade a New York trial court that a two-year filing deadline didn't begin until they discovered mold damage rather than the date of earlier leaks that caused the mold. Parker v. Chubb National Insurance Co., No. 8195/2006 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., Nassau Cty.).

The New York Supreme Court for Nassau County granted Chubb National Insurance Co.'s motion to dismiss. on Oct. 26, ruling that the policy language was clear and that policyholders' claim was time-barred.
