LOS ANGELES - A California appellate court has affirmed a judgment of more than $165,000 in damages and attorney fees for a couple who sued after a condominium owner backed out of a real estate sale that was delayed over mold issues. Samuels, et al. v. Merrill, et al., No. B190158 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist.).
The 2nd Appellate District Court found in an unpublished July 23 opinion that the Los Angeles County Superior Court did not abuse its discretion in ordering specific performance and awarding Benjamin and Inez Samuels $17,742.40 in damages and $146,465.03 in attorney fees.
