SACRAMENTO, Calif. - In a Nov. 5 decision in a case involving an insurance claim for earthquake damages, California Supreme Court judges ruled that, in the case of concealed or misrepresented facts, the defending insurer is barred from raising a statute of limitations defense. Peter Vu v. Prudential Property & Casualty Insurance Company, No. 98-55540 (Calif. Sup. Ct.).
