SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A jury has awarded $2.7 million to a family that claimed it suffered severe mold-related injuries after moving to their California apartment building. Darren Mazza, et al. v. Raymond Schurtz, et al., No. 00AS04795 (Calif. Super. Ct., Sacramento Cty.).
The Sacramento County Superior Court jury unanimously found for the plaintiffs on their claims for negligence, breach of contract, implied warranty of habitability, nuisance, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and constructive eviction.
