CARLISLE, Pa. - A Pennsylvania couple and the real estate firm that helped sell their home are answering claims filed by a Pennsylvania family that allegedly fell ill from mold contamination caused by water damage, which neither disclosed before selling the house. Daines v. Mentzer, et al., No. 01-4866 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Cumberland Cty.).
In separate answers and cross-claims filed Sept. 19 in Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas, the former homeowners and Re/Max Realty associates claim they had no knowledge of the conditions John and Beckey Daines claim forced them from their newly purchased home.
