California Governor Signs Two Mold Bills Into Law

icOendicn Oct. 7, California became the first state to legally tackle the thorny issue of toxic mold regulation as Gov. Gray Davis signed into law the Toxic Mold Protection Act (SB 732). It was introduced in February by California Senator Deborah Ortiz (D-Sacramento).
The bill requires the State Department of Health Services to convene a task force to advise the department on the development of mold exposure limits and requires the department to consider the feasibility of adopting such limits.
